GANJA GRANNY sez PRAISE THE LORD and Pass the weed!  Lets end the WAR on DRUGS NOW and LEGALIZE CANNABIS!  It is important we Legalize Cannabis for recreational, medicinal, spiritual and industrial use as soon as possible..We must end the failed WAR ON DRUGS and assure everyone concerned, that people will no longer be imprisoned for nonviolent  minor drug offenses.  Based on past experience, I see for every step forward, we have to fight to keep our balance and remain in place, until we can move forward with the next step..AUGUST 2nd was the 75th anniversary of the Marijuana Tax Stamp . August 2nd, 1937 President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed it into law..It was the beginning of Prohibition as we know it.. So many people our still caught up in the REEFER MADNESS of yester year.. I hate to think we have to wait for them to die out before any further progress can be made.. Can these people possibly be the reason we cannot progress???.. Possibly …and that is a very small possibility, to say the least.  I think our problem is with those who came later. We have to deal with those who came later and were HIGHLY influenced ( brain washed) by their" Reefer Madness Elders.".Not too many years ago we could not imagine Medical Marijuana.. We could not imagine that in an approximately 16/17 yr period we now have 18 states legal for Medical M plus D.C….But all is not so rosy when we still have people getting killed accidentally or intentionally... as a result of what would appear to be a simple Marijuana Bust..A tragic case in the last week or so... is of a 21 yr old man with hands handcuffed behind his back, sitting alone in the back of a cruiser, supposedly shot himself in the right temple( seems strange the cops missed the gun, supposedly concealed on this young man. Doesn't procedure call for FRISKING the perpetrator before handcuffing him or at least , right after cuffing the perp).. Plus, according to his Mom he was left handed..How can this be??? How could a simple bust, warrant suicide or murder????? Of course there is an investigation but will it actually make a difference?.. If it were a simple case of MURDER…. will whomever committed this crime be brought to Justice????? I have this dream where everyone who uses cannabis for any reason.. whether they are stoners or otherwise.. If EVERYONE came together and marched on DC could we at least make a statement that would blast around the world like a rocket..I don't mean you and me but everyone who uses or has a reason to see Legalized Cannabis a reality in our day..There are at least, at this point 56% of the American Public willing to admit they support legal marijuana and want it taxed like alcohol and tobacco..Now! If all those people showed up on the Presidents doorstep. Could we get a million people to march on D.C.? . If we could,I am sure we would make a difference.. We don't need a  local rinky dink parade/concert/ rally… We need the masses to turn out and peacefully and intelligently let the President and our Government in general, "know we want Cannabis LEGALIZED NOW!"… I had hoped I could go to both conventions but I find it more and more difficult to "just up and go" ! I have to now rely on the younger under 65 crowd.. We need to have a serious presence in Charlotte at the Dems convention and in Florida with the Republicans…Otherwise, whats the point of all the bitching and 'JUST TALKING" to each other?????????On Face Book , no less or other social medias.. What is the point? We need to educate those who are not as informed as we are.. We need to clean up our act and the language we use when attempting to win these people over to our way of thinking.We need to get serious! In the meantime, GANJA GRANNY sez wear a GREEN RIBBON to show solidarity with your brothers and sisters around the world and right here in the USA that we want LEGALIZATION now!Ganja Granny sez KEEP IT LIT! GANJA GRANNY sez We are in it to win it!… As much as we might want to quit and walk away ….We just can't do it.  At least today.. We just can't do it... As far away ...as we are from NATIONAL or  GLOBAL LEGALIZATION we are also not any closer to any kind of celebration The time to celebrate and rejoice will come… We just don't know when.……  Everyday  the news on TV, in a magazine, newspaper or on line including word of mouth….is all about the failed drug war, stop and frisk in New York, someone getting busted, killed or whatever????…Okay! So its not a secret… at least not to us… People are talking… Its out there… Even little kids know about it.. 17 states plus D.C. have legalized cannabis for medical use. Three states will have it on the ballot come November. OREGON, WASHINGTON AND COLORADO…With all this progress being made… we still have to deal with FEDERAL PROHIBITION WHICH SUPERSEDES ALL STATE LAWS…Everyday, a new group rises out of frustration..FRUSTRATION seems to be par for the course.. Without frustration, perhaps no one would do anything but certainly SOMEBODY will.???????. Which reminds me of a piece I had framed and hung in my house ..It tells the story  about four people: Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it.
Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did.
Somebody got angry because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody knew that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realised that Somebody wouldn't do it.
And Everybody blamed Somebody because Nobody did what Anybody could have done…… Ganja Granny sez. We can all make a difference if we stop talking about it and step up to the plate and do something about it.........     WE ARE SOMEBODY! WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO????????
